The Jean Harrison Bojes Music Foundation is pleased to announce its first official sponsorship, providing support for four students at Trinity Lutheran School in Freistadt (Mequon), Wisconsin to participate in band during the current school year.
The sponsorship covers a flat fee per student for the full school year. Band participation, lessons, and the use of an instrument are all included in the scholarship. For many families, the combined costs are the reason a child never picks up an instrument. Lifting the financial burden is the most direct way we know to put music in a student’s hands.
This inaugural initiative reflects Jean’s lifelong commitment to helping young learners discover and develop their musical abilities. She was confident that any student given an instrument and a little encouragement could find something in music worth pursuing. Four students will start this year because of that belief, and we intend for many more to follow at schools in the Midwest and beyond.
